Improving the lives and health of patients through ambitious growth projects based on innovation and development

The Zambon Group is a modern chemical-pharmaceutical multinational founded on the history and values of an Italian family business with ambitious plans for growth and development.

Zambon wanted to realise an ambitious project to extend the Vicenza production site, known as ‘Marco Polo’, by 6,000 m2, to house the new filling lines, microbiology laboratories and warehouses for the production of the group’s flagship drugs.
The context therefore required a very high level of preparation in multiple areas of expertise and specialisation: management of the authorisation process and GMP requirements, design and implementation of structural engineering, traditional plant engineering, pharmaceutical engineering and site safety engineering.

In Planex, the customer found a company experienced in pharmaceutical engineering that was flexible and quick to respond to the variability of requirements and that, as a single point of contact, was responsible for all engineering.

The client realised its investment project by seeing its budget met and managed the inevitable delay caused by the COVID-19 pandemic as well as possible.

The client was supported in the pursuit of excellence, achieving a fully realised project delivered on time without significant extra costs. Architecture, structure and installations were managed with a BIM modelling system, providing the basis for the future management and maintenance of the installations, while the progress of the construction site was controlled with an innovative web-sharing platform.
