Founded in 2004, Aptuit operated as a private pharmaceutical service provider for thirteen years until it became a company of Evotec in August 2017.
As a member of Evotec, Aptuit offers a comprehensive set of integrated drug development solutions by applying scientific excellence, efficient service and a team composed of some of the most competent scientific professionals in the industry.
The company’s original research centre is a structure dating back to the 1980s in Verona that was in need of major functional revamping and performance enhancement. The focal points of the facility are the refrigeration plant and the air handling plant for the entire laboratory block. This meant being able to supply and manage over 10 MW of cooling capacity and over 800,000 m3/h of treated air. Although the renovation of the AHUs and the expansion of the cooling capacity was necessary, within the constraints of the existing space, it was essential to be able to guarantee business continuity.
Planex was chosen because of its high level of expertise in plant engineering (large power and capacity plants) and its knowledge in all aspects of LifeScience such as environmental contamination or business continuity.
He was able to start an efficient and successful plan to renew the AHUs and upgrade the cooling capacity of the entire production plant.
